Nick Acock
Coaching Associate
Nick Acock is the Lightweight Men's Coach at Cambridge University Boat Club, where he has coached for over 20 years. A Cambridge graduate in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from Emmanuel College, Nick chose rowing over a career in engineering, returning to the river full-time in 2013 to coach CUBC crews preparing for the Boat Race.
His coaching record includes victories at the Boat Race level with Blondie (2016) and the Cambridge Lightweights (2015, 2017), wins at BUCS Regatta, and a victory at the prestigious Henley Women's Regatta. He previously served as Director of Rowing at Christ's College, Cambridge, overseeing one of the university's college boat club programs.
Outside of rowing, Nick runs True Blue Performance, a leadership consultancy that draws on the principles of high-performance sport to develop leaders in business and organizations.
