Elise Coates
Creative Director, Marketing
As our new Creative Director, Elise leads the charge developing great media and stories that share the Sparks experience. She has a passion for supporting and celebrating athletes through content creation, creative projects, and engaging events. Over the last several years she has worked with athletes and programs ranging from grassroots youth soccer players to Olympic-level triathletes. She loves engaging directly with athletes and has hosted run events for recreational runners, girls in sport, and an Arc’teryx backcountry safety clinic.
Elise comes to us from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a degree in Physics! While at university she ran collegiate cross country and track, and was the university’s first USports cross country First Team All Canadian in over ten years in 2024. To cap off her collegiate career, she represented Canada at the 2025 FISU World University Games in the 5000m!
After graduating, she became an Arc’teryx BC trail running ambassador and launched her sports content and community engagement career. She is also working hard to build a strong collective of post-collegiate and elite runners in the Pacific Northwest and was drawn to Sparks’ programs and mission.
